Judges


The awards are judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts, the judging is a rigorous two-stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide the winning entries.

From a transparency perspective, we may video aspects of the judging session to show on the evening and give entrants an insight into why a winning entry was chosen.

Head judges

Olga Andrienko | Head of Global Marketing | SEMrush

Together with her team she has built one of the strongest international communities in the online marketing industry. Olga has expanded SEMrush brand visibility worldwide, bringing >90% YoY average revenue growth from top 10 new markets and growing SEMrush presence in the main markets such as USA, Europe and Australia. David Harling | Chief Marketing Officer | MoneySmart

David has over 15 years of marketing experience across multiple online categories, both in-house and agency side. He is currently the CMO for the MoneySmart Group based in Singapore and leads the marketing strategy and operations across Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Philippines. He has previously worked with Google and other global brands. He started out his career in Search Marketing and has now become one of the most exciting marketing leaders in the region.

Judith Lewis | Founder & CEO | Decabbit Consultancy

Judith is a renowned international speaker, writer, trainer, blogger and digital media consultant specialising in applying strategic understanding of digital technologies to help businesses innovate and optimise their effectiveness within the new, networked communications environment. She is a regular speaker around the world on SEO, content strategy, link building, paid media, and digital strategy, and has been recognised by her peers as one of the most influential people in the UK digital industry. Judith judges the industry leading Search Awards around the world, and has every year since their inception. She has worked with market-leading global businesses including Google, NatWest/RBS, National Gallery, Fidelity, GalaCoral, NBC Universal, Readers Digest, Bayer, Family Search, Amadeus, AMD, AmEx , Virgin.com, Virgin Startup & more. She has over 23 years of experience, predating Google in her entry into the market, and now runs her own consultancy. She has worked both in-house and agency-side. Judges

Jenny Abouobaia | Co-founder | Clever Touch Marketing

Jenny is an experienced and highly accomplished SEO consultant and mentor. Jenny's specialty within search falls in affiliate SEO, with years of expertise in both building and managing six-figure affiliate niche sites for clients worldwide, with a focus in the APAC region. She is also the Co-founder of Clever Touch Marketing a leading agency based in the MENA region that specializes in the development and production of SEO content. Jenny is a strong advocate for women in SEO. Her agency was founded with the goal of offering more opportunities and long-term, steady employment for women. This is still true today, with over 80% of her staff and her entire management team being exclusively female. She is an active member of multiple female-positive SEO communities including Women in Tech SEO and Sisters in SEO. Most recently, while still managing her agency and actively performing client work, Jenny has built a mentoring and consulting program specifically for budding female SEOs, where she looks to support as many women as possible as they start their careers within the industry.

Jim Banks | CEO | Spades Media

Jim has over 18 years of digital advertising experience. Since then he’s spent in excess of £220 million buying traffic for over 1000 companies. Jim is a keynote speaker invited to speak at industry events around the world, including Pubcon, Retail Global, Marketing Festival, Friends Of Search, Hitpath Masters Conference, a4uexpo, SES, SMX and Affiliate Summit. Jim has been a regular fixture on the judging panel at the UK, European, MENA and US Search awards for the past four years and is a returning judge for this years UK Search Awards. Never one to shy away from giving an opinion or pulling punches, Jim enjoys critiquing entries at the Awards and seeing what the search community thinks is worthy of winning.

Laurent Bourrelly | SEO Consultant | LAURENT BOURRELLY S.L.U.

I started SEO for real in 2004 by ranking 3rd in a SEO contest, but I come from a marketing and public relations background. After discovering how to spam Google, I lived the life of super affiliate and clic whore until 2008 when I switched to the consulting side of the business. Since then, I also started a speaker’s career and got more involved in the SEO community in France. I am still running a few personal projects on the side, but my main focus is to rank high on Google for my clients. Of course, I also embraced on other fields of search, especially SEA, Content Marketing and Social Media Marketing.

David Fallarme | Head of Marketing, Asia | HubSpot

David Fallarme leads Asia marketing for HubSpot, a full stack platform for marketing, sales and customer service. David has successfully grown products across several industries. During his time with Electronic Arts, he led customer acquisition for several video games with millions of users. As the head of marketing for a B2B SaaS startup, he oversaw growth as the company went from thousands to multi 7-figures in annual revenue.

Kaushal Gupta | Manager - Digital Marketing | Zydus Healthcare Limited

Kaushal Gupta, being in the Digital Marketing space for the last ten years, has gained experience in both the agency and the brand side of the business. In the span of his career, he has worked on different regional, national and international brands, thereby exploring the different facets of Digital Marketing. He has been a part of various award winning campaigns and recognized for these contributions at a personal level as well. In his current role at Zydus Healthcare Limited, he is entrusted to implement Digital Marketing Practices across the organization.
