Spotlight on Emerging Talent: Amy Talbot

Among our nominations, we’re thrilled to celebrate Amy Talbot, who is shortlisted for the prestigious Emerging Talent Award.

Amy excels in delivering results for her clients while also driving agency-wide improvements through technical innovations. She successfully manages a portfolio of clients, consistently exceeds KPIs, and has achieved exceptional results, such as an 81% increase in sessions and an 86% boost in revenue for Every Battery.

One of Amy’s key technical projects included developing a keyword analysis tool, which cut down processing time for project managers from hours to mere minutes. Her unique blend of SEO expertise, data science skills, and effective communication has had a profound impact on the agency, and we’re incredibly proud to see her hard work and dedication celebrated on this platform.

Transformative eCommerce Strategies

At Megantic, our proven three-stage approach of extensive researchtechnical SEO implementation, and ongoing optimisation forms the foundation of most campaigns. But it’s our ability to tailor these strategies to the unique challenges and goals of each client that drives our successes.

By aligning technical SEO with broader business objectives, we’ve consistently opened new growth opportunities for our clients. Whether it’s increasing non-branded traffic, launching new category pages, or optimising keyword clusters, our campaigns are designed to create a lasting impact.

Results That Speak for Themselves

Driving Non-Branded Traffic and New Customers

A major focus for all six clients shortlisted was capturing untapped non-branded traffic.

  • For Ripe Maternity, we introduced optimised category pages, leading to a 46.5% increase in new users.
  • Similarly, for Matchbox, we targeted high-converting keywords that drove a 143.6% lift in non-branded clicks.

By creating clear entry points for first-time shoppers, we ensured these brands didn’t just grow traffic but also that we brought in new customers who were ready to convert.

Solving Complex Technical Challenges

Many campaigns required navigating unique technical hurdles.

  • For Every Battery, we delivered an advanced solution for dynamic landing pages that contributed to a 576% increase in first-page rankings.
  • Meanwhile, Hello Molly benefited from updating their menu bar and navigation, which drove significant gains in visibility for their most competitive categories.
  • For Musashi, migrating to a new platform was a complex challenge. By ensuring the process was seamless, we avoided downtime while setting them up for future scalability and sustained organic growth.

Refining Keywords for Long-Term Growth

Keyword optimisation was pivotal across campaigns.

  • Milligram saw a 61% rise in page one rankings as a result of targeted keyword clusters.
  • While Musashi Nutrition achieved a 236% increase in the top-three rankings.

These improvements aren’t just about visibility. They were about delivering the right customer to the right store at the right time.

By focusing on commercial intent and category-specific terms, our clients now dominate search results for high-impact keywords like “maternity dresses” and “protein powder.”

Scalable Growth for Established Brands

Scalability is at the heart of Megantic’s eCommerce philosophy.

  • For Matchbox, customising their Shopify App and introducing scalable technical SEO elements drove a 62.3% increase in transactions.
  • Similarly, Hello Molly’s migration to a headless CMS has positioned them for ongoing growth in international markets, including the USA.

These results highlight how we not only address current goals but also future-proof our clients’ growth strategies.

A Moment of Celebration

The success of these campaigns wouldn’t have been possible without collaboration. Milligram’s project manager, Vandana Kumar, shared her excitement:

“I’m absolutely over the moon to be shortlisted! This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible collaboration with our client—they’ve been such a vital part of this journey. To stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the biggest brands out there is beyond thrilling. It’s a moment of celebration for all of us!”

— Vandana Kumar, Technical Project Manager

Ripe Maternity and Matchbox’s project manager, Kristina Trood, was honoured when she heard the announcement of the APAC Search Awards shortlist.

“Being shortlisted for Best Use of Search in Retail & eCommerce with Ripe Maternity and Most Innovative Campaign for Matchbox at the APAC Search Awards is a huge honour. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Megantic team, and we are proud to be counted among the best in the Asia-Pacific region.”

— Kristina Trood, Technical Project Manager

At Megantic, we firmly believe that our clients are partners in every success. Their trust and dedication allow us to push boundaries and deliver results that go beyond rankings.

SEO That Delivers Results

These nominations highlight more than just individual successes—they reflect our consistent ability to transform eCommerce brands. From reducing Milligram’s ad spend by 31% to building long-term, cost-efficient growth strategies, our campaigns are built for measurable impact.

If you’d like to explore how tailored SEO strategies can help your eCommerce brand achieve similar growth, we’d love to hear from you.
